Bethesda will not remaster Morrowind
As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun , from an interview by The guardian Howard: for something like Morrowind, my personal preference is not to remaster it. I’m happy that you can play Morrowind now on an Xbox One, as it’s backwards compatible. I actually prefer that over remasters,” he told The Guardi...

Re: Help us plan OpenMW's future
random off-topic quote, please see it as just mere punctuation My former CTO used to tell me Programming is a projection of human intelligence into a machine. Every line of code represents a form of your neural pathways and when your code runs, it's a bit of your consciousness that lives by itself o...

Re: Post 1.0 Plans
However, I'm not sure that there's much we can take from MO as its main feature is its VFS, and ours is already superior. Well MO's VFS is pretty much the only thing that OpenMW doesn't need. Everything else would benefit OpenMW through the launcher (a bit crazy/overkill), or at least with some deg...

Re: Post 1.0 Plans
This is a decision which will determine if OpenMW remains a way to play Morrowind, or becomes the basis for new pet-project games, other open GameBryo/Creation Engine reimplementations and real games plenty of people will spend actual money on. I don't think we should be thinking in terms of the ne...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?
Setting up a gitlab account, learning git, cloning, committing, pushing, learning how to make a PR makes for quite a big barrier of entry for a non developper contributor. This learning curve is steeper than editing a wikimedia entry. The recent move to use the base user manual to RTD with sphynx ha...

Re: How do I make this armor mod look right in OpenMW?
I didn't download the whole archive but have a look in your meshes: if you find a NiTextureEffect node with a CG_SPHERE_MAP reference that points to a glowmap texture, remove it. It makes stuff look overshiny in OpenMW

Well thanks for offering the horsepower!

Re: OpenMW port to ps4
Well, we should avoid promoting a hypothetical PS4 port using Morrowind assets/contents. See Correspondence with Bethesda . Running the Example Suite or any other unrelated content would be no problem. This is pretty much the key part here. OpenMW might be able to run on these platforms... but if a...
