Mod and settings configuration menus

One of the threads in the Off Topic section about fighting system improvements got me thinking about mod modularity and configuration. Are there currently any plans to create some kind of in-game configuration menu similar to MCM (mod configuration menu) in the SkyUI mod? For those not familiar, it ...

Re: Improve fighting system brainstorming

...explain, don't ask. I never played Skyrim. In Skyrim running and walking both do not deplete stamina, and if the character is walking his stamina should regenerate faster. There is also "sprint" option, when for a short amount of time and at cost of stamina character runs even quicker....

Re: Improve fighting system brainstorming

As being the author of Travel Mode shows I don't like too much the Fatigue consumption outside combat. I feel it's just a bother, on the other hand in fights it's an important resource (overall if you use mods like Realistic Health and Fatigue (those are for oblivion, but show the point well). So b...

Re: An option to Hide/Disable the Map

Oh how I wish Oblivion and Skyrim had detailed enough quest descriptions to not need the quest marker compass thing. After the project is inevitably completed, I would love to see a mod replace the Map Menu with something like the Journal, but to display the Map Items' images the player has in their...

Re: iFPSClamp Equivalent?

Got it. So I tried it out in Skyrim and I see what you mean. It's a really strange concept, but you're right, capping the framerate in conjunction with clamping makes it just a bit smoother. It seems like a useful setting at any framerate!

Re: Idea for openmw launcher load order functionality

@xander2077 I'm not at my desktop where I have everything installed so I can't be sure, but is there a separate config file located in your user documents? (I'm guessing it's similar on linux) I had a heck of a time figuring out why my changes to the settings file weren't going through until I reali...

Re: Mod Manager?

I don't think something that depends on an external site should be part of OpenMW. How about a standalone mod manager that can read and edit OpenMW configuration files instead? What I mean by that is that the manager will be able to locate and understand openmw.cfg and find the data entries. The ma...

Re: iFPSClamp Equivalent?

Is that a separate option/function than simply capping the framerate? If so I don't know, but if all you're doing is trying to cap the framerate, then the function is in your settings.cfg file. This will explain where it is on your system https://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title=Settings , and you ca...

Re: Improving Controller and UI

No, I was in dialogue before I accidentally stole the book. In any case, the on-press and on-release thing (what I imagine is happening) is probably undesired behavior; it would be more traditional and less likely to result in undesirable behavior to have the on-press trigger or maybe a combination...

Re: Improving Controller and UI

I haven't encountered any double presses when I've tested with my controller, but I only use the controller when I'm testing it specifically. I do have problems with dialogue closing itself and filed a bug report (#3123) for that, but I wonder if it's the same problem. Did you take a book previous t...
