I can confim that you are in fact correct. The changes to make Shadows not affect the minimap has no effect upon the fog shader.

I'm going to have to run some tests, but I wonder if the patch to get the minimap to stop taking shadows will also fix the issue with Visvaldis's fog shader where that affects the minimap too.

I also noticed that there's no shadowing in interiors, which might want to be looked into.

I've also noticed that this branch seems to break terrain texture blending, making the entire world a massive patchwork of seams everywhere. That should probably be resolved down the line before this is merged. This is a FANTASTIC start, AON3! Great work!

I would think, Lysol, that it would be even more prudent to get shadows into at least one 0.XX release before 1.0

One thing to do with VPNs, is make certain that if you use one, to truly use it. Make certain that you are routing all your traffic through it, and not using 'split tunneling'.

I'm fairly certain that MGE XE generates fog very differently than Vanilla when Distant Land is used. It has several different fog modes (pixel/vertex, range/depth, exponential/linear I believe)
