Re: Release Video Commentaries

The voice is unprocessed this time, as far as I know, which might be a possible reason Just wanted to underline that my criticism was more geared towards WeirdSexy's performance and not so much with any editing. add ducking for music A heads up that you might be tempted to use a gate for this, but ...

Re: Release Video Commentaries

Looks good! The 2 main differences I notice is a faster pace between cuts and that WeirdSexy might seem a tad less enthusiastic than he previously has been. The first point is just a matter of style and I can't say which one I prefer, but the second one might be something to keep in the back of your...

Re: 2 questions regarding water and view distance

@Chris
Thought as much. I know very little about this, do you know how games usually implement something like that? I was thinking something in the lines of cell wide "flow maps" similar to normal maps, but instead of indicating bumps, it indicates flow direction.

Re: 2 questions regarding water and view distance

I added a (toned down) green version on the last page, but I have one additional question;

how hard would it be to add something like this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9A6QHLIWg0&t=1m24s
from the unadded Skyrim features video; flow-based water shader.

Re: 2 questions regarding water and view distance

sun.rar looks great. I'd like to make it the new default, but can we keep the sunlight scattering colour green as it was? We can make it a bit more subtle, but the colour should be green. The main reason I changed it was for things like this, which I just think look too tropical: http://i.imgur.com...

Re: 2 questions regarding water and view distance

Since this was featured on the front page, I thought I'd add the water shaders here, if people want to check it out or improve it. The (unrared) file goes into \resources\materials\ Sun is a bit more calm than standard and rain more busy. One other notable change is that I changed the water color fr...

Was referring to broken downloads, but it's great that it's working again! Thanks for doing this to begin with.

Re: OpenMW 0.33.0

Was able to try out the windows build now for the first time in a long while, since the dailies have been broken. I can confirm an FPS increase of about 30% between 0.32 and 0.33. The biggest FPS impact is still shadows, water and object shaders however. Each impacting the FPS between 80-150%, e.g. ...
