Re: looking to help (editing user manual)
Well we still have pretty much everything lol. I know that we need source code documentation the most, but if you don't know C++ then there's plenty to do regarding user docs. If you haven't installed OpenMW yet, then take some notes on what parts of the process were confusing or might be confusing ...

Re: Trying to write a guide on how to fix shiny MCP bump map
When you finish, go ahead and add it to our docs if you know how, or post it and I can format it correctly and throw it in there. I imagine this will be a high demand thing to know how to do until we start getting more stuff made properly for OpenMW by more awesome people like yourself

Re: Another OpenMW competitor
It looks like from their description that it's just meant as a world viewer, so no actual gameplay, although someone could branch and start on a legit version. It looks pretty good just from that picture though. The bloom and the shadows look great! Is that your own screenshot?

Re: looking to help (editing user manual)
Yay! We have plenty of need for more user manual authors! I've been meaning to put together a quickstart guide for people who want to help with documentation so you can get everything set up quickly and have all the appropriate reference material. But for now hopefully my noob questions on that thre...

Re: Verifying our YouTube channel
You could always register for a Google Voice number so if it ever becomes a problem you can just unlink that number from your actual phone number. I know it's a private list but better safe than sorry

Re: OpenMW blocked; security certificate expired
Ah you beat me to it. I wasn't sure if it was my computer because Windows 10 just botched an update for me today too. But yes, I'm getting the same problem on Chrome 53.0.2785.116 m

Re: Documentation
I plan on doing a bit more work on documentation: 0) I'm not able to document everything, but I can leave stubs for people to fill in later. 1) Re-do layout so that the entry page is more like a welcome page to the project that then gives information about how to read and navigate the documentation...

Re: Documentation
Lol, somehow I knew asking about British English was going to derail the conversation. But all those shows are SO GOOD! My dad manages a hotel, so I have a special love for Fawlty Towers. @lgro, when you get a chance, can you move everything after psi29a's post below into the off topic section endin...

Re: Documentation
Pick a style and go with it. *Laughs maniacally* Update: It has to be readable/understandable to the majority of English speakers. Kill joy. But seriously, yes, I was planning on being conversationally simple so it's easy to understand and translate, but not antiseptic. And I'll probably go through...
