Re: OpenMW Game Template
Hahahaa. The documentation is not only hard to come by, but impossible to come by. I think I'm the first to do this (has anyone made new base_anim files before?) and due to that I spend 5% actually doing stuff and 95% trying to figure out what I need to do, what works and how to do it. There is also...

Re: OpenMW Game Template
Question, why do I need skins.omwaddon precisely? Shouldn't it automagically? Is it only temporary? It's not actually part of the template and neither is anything in bodies. The idea was to keep it minimalistic. One of those being that you can add a model into the game and have it work. This, I und...

Re: OpenMW Game Template
There is no hand-to-hand, which is why it gives you that error. It should have worked the same way in my first update. I would have to add hand-to-hand for it not to give an error, but if it bothers you, just don't press F. Btw the hands in 1st person will stay in front for the moment. This update w...

Re: OpenMW Game Template
Current problems: 1. 3rd person view is too low. Or perhaps the game is placing the mesh too high. The fix seems to be to place bodies into 0/0/0 in xyz coordinates. 2. UpperArms appear twice, for no apparent reason. No idea how to fix. 3. Head doesn't appear even though it's listed in bodyparts and...

Re: OpenMW Game Template
Ok OpenMW code writers tell me your secrets. How does the engine determine where the 3rd person/first person view is placed?

Re: OpenMW Game Template
The current model has 3 finger bones and no foot bone. I'm going to make an experiment to see if I can deviate from this and add those so that our animation would be better.

From some short testing it seems that there are no falling problems.

Re: OpenMW Game Template
There currently is no bounding box. Impressed you can walk on land at all. But I can add it easily if you want. Or can you add it yourself? I think it should be added onto xBase_Anim.nif to take effect. In the meanwhile you should be able to get away with tcl.

Re: OpenMW Game Template
I just solved a nasty problem that wouldn't let me begin properly on animations. However I'm sending you a file with a walking animation we won't be using. But the good thing is you can walk forward in 3rd person view (not in 1st person). http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=8233818336943151...
