Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

Pretty lame to keep reusing the same idea, though. All those Dragon Breaks really need some lampshade hanging in the next game.

I thought you needed at least a plurality to speak of "people".

His Linux-only fork was a really funny idea though.

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

The teaser shows a rocky shrubby landscape with huge stone mountains very close to a jagged gulf, with ruins in the hills and a city with a tower in it on the coastline. It's not as vague as you're making it out to be. A rocky shrubby landscape - so a barren landscape. Huge stone mountains - well, ...

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

So it is predicated on three things: 1. The (yuge) assumption that Bethesda is being somewhat consistent with their world for their teaser. 2. That it takes place in the same sociopolitical state we left Nirn. 3. Shifting the burden proof. Think of it like this: The teaser shows a barren landscape a...

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

I have seen no compelling arguments at all and as you pointed out, Bethesda doesn't really care about keeping landscapes the same as described before. I mean, I wouldn't even be surprised if Bethesda put it in Akavir so they can shove that VI in the title like they did with the IV in Oblivion. Concl...

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

Or how about Valenwood? Or how about Black Marsh? Or how about Yokuda? Or how about the Inside-Out world? Any of these guesses are as valid as any others. Because there are no rumours, just wild guesses by a community that is getting hyped over having literally zero information and so are setting th...

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

Clearly, this is my crowd.

We know exactly as much now as we did a week before. We know no title, no location, nothing. The landscape never says anything as Cyrodiil was a jungle before Oblivion.

Re: Microsoft Buys Github for $7.5 Billion

The only reason I kept working on OpenMW was because I wanted it to be hallmark of engineering, of collaboration between OSS projects and of free software culture in general. For what it's worth, Scrawl, I'd like you to know that the work that you and the others have done on OpenMW all these years ...
