Re: OpenMW's Roadmap and Future
I expect in the future there will be tutorials and guidelines for how to create multiplayer-friendly scripts and content, easily accessible to OpenMW content creators. If for whatever reason they don't follow those guidelines and design content the "conventional" way, the worst that can ha...

Re: OpenMW's Roadmap and Future
There is something that has been a growing concern for me about the future. Recent admissions like improved third person camera aside, many QoL proposals have been encouraged to hang tight until Lua scripting is added. But the consequence of writing these features/fixes as scripts is that they are e...

Re: Main menu Hi Res
Open your settings.cfg, and under [GUI], paste stretch menu background = true. It will not fit your entire screen, and you can use a widescreen HD menu replacer of your choosing.

Re: Is optimization limited?
In all the time Morrowind has existed, it's only been very recently that the modding community has paid any attention to things like draw cost. The two biggest mods to address this, Morrowind Optimization Patch and Project Atlas, are less than 3 years old. Those mods only touch a fraction of Morrowi...

Re: Lysol's normal mapped texture packs
Hmm, from what I can tell there is no automated atlasing going on with object paging. Project Atlas will still have its place unless that is true, no?

Hm, 64-bit build link is not working right now (internal server error), but 32-bit build is.

Re: Dragging it up again FPS and GPU usage
It's not an OpenMW-specific thing, pretty much all graphics in games require CPU to send draw instructions to GPU. The question is how efficiently can you do it. Fundamentally it's an asset issue. In other words, how the artist built the object and textured it. Most games try to use 1 texture for 1 ...

Re: Dragging it up again FPS and GPU usage
Hard to know for sure without more information, but that looks like Old Ebonheart from Tamriel Rebuilt. If someone wanted to make the most CPU-bottlenecked showcase in Morrowind history, they could hardly have done a better job. Tap F3 a few times, and within a list you will see a count of "dra...

Re: Sun damage tweaks
Just wanted to say this is a seriously cool feature, everything is exactly how you'd expect a vampire in the sunlight to behave. I love the idea of fleeing from shadow to shadow to avoid the yellow face.
