What system are you running and what mods do have installed. While some of the bugs seem to be existing some other are looking like they are mod related.
If you are using mods: Are the bugs still there when you start a new clean vanilla game?

Well price ist always subjective. However this seems to be mainly Bethesda/Zenimax price strategy. Steam hasn't been cheaper and the price is stable since years.

The big regard against implementing Python is the abesence of functional sandboxing. At least I remember Zini writing about it
