Re: Change in how 1st person camera is positioned
Ongoing project that has dragged along forever and quite often on hold. I think I'm quite close to resolving some irl problems I have and maybe then I can finally focus on remaking the model and animations. If I remember this right, the only thing you need to do fix the camera is make clavicle bones...

Re: Rethinking the Example Suite
Oh and no significant progress right now. I will have a lot of free time towards the end of this month, but reserve your expectations in case nothing happens. I started thinking that I need to use my 2 week vacation to meditate and do yoga all day. I think I need to do this. On the other hand, this...

Re: Drunk Philosophy
I don't think nihilism leads to suicide. If there is no point in anything and everything is meaningless, then there's no point to suiciding yourself either. There's actually some pretty crazy stuff if you look further into it beyond the basic "Nietzsche there is no God so everything is pointles...

Re: Rethinking the Example Suite
Indeed. If we go for the mystery, we write in the spirit and inspiration of Lovecraft, without copying any of the names and stories directly.

Re: Rethinking the Example Suite
I like your idea of a murder mystery. I initially had a Lovecraftian-like mystery in mind, where you basically gather clues and discover stuff in a similar fashion as to what you described. I'm still weighing the different options on what to do. Ideally, the mansion thing would be the first thing th...

I think I have something more detailed here. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=3330
I don't use the OSG stuff, just the old niftools exporter that works with Blender 2.49B.

Re: Rethinking the Example Suite
The main difference between this idea and Morrowind is that it'd have linearly progressing premade adventures rather than being a full-blown open world where the player makes his own story. I think either way we can demo whatever we want, unless some feature explicitly requires a non-linear path of ...

Rethinking the Example Suite
The initial idea I had for the Example Suite was to do a fortress in the forest lovecraftian mystery thing Morrowind-style. I still like the idea, but I'm thinking less about making the game like Morrowind. One issue is, who would play our small game over the huge and rich world that Morrowind offer...
