Re: Shadows
Given the above exchange and in the spirit of malicious compliance, I would be inclined to write my forum name in Greek characters, or alternatively with the IPA since the latinised version of my name is guaranteed to be pronounced wrongly and therefore wouldn't be my "Real Name"™. On the ...

Re: Cannot Open Console
Given the fact that your previous question was related to tes3mp, I'm going to assume this one is as well, and therefore the reason your console doesn't work is probably that your server has it disabled for your player.

Re: Alchemy Work Around
Player potions not persisting was in the release announcement among other missing features. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/mwmulti#announcements/detail/1441567597386587897 Given that, the openmw forum is not that active with regards to tes3mp issues. You'll find more active discussions in the tes...

Re: Texture mapping attempts and misadventures.
Thanks for looking into it lysol, you prompted me by stroke of luck to figure out what's wrong. I tried to reproduce the issue with a new texture and couldn't and I found out why. Mipmaps, apparently. I don't know if we are using mipmaps in any way, but generating mipmaps for a normal map seems to c...

Re: Texture mapping attempts and misadventures.
Since a screenshot is worth a 1000 kilobytes I made a couple.
The textures are of the main road between say Balmora and Caldera and cobblestones like the ones in Caldera.

Texture mapping attempts and misadventures.
So, with very little knowledge or experience on the subject, I wanted to look into the process of making normal/parallax/specular maps for existing textures. Given that I lack any artistic ability I eventually wanted to see if the process is automatable. I used gimp's normalmap plugin but noticed th...

Re: New Quest Mod designed for (and with) OpenMW
Tried the mod, here are my thoughts. Interesting concept, and the hack to get it to work. Concerning the rug I see some purple lines on the edges, like a mesh not fitting the texture exactly, I'm not using a texture replacer. Also it has no trouble going through the roof of houses in Balmora, don't ...
