Re: Blender addon
When I chatted with neomonkeus on #niftools the other day, he told me that the Blender plugin is basically abandoned, and there were currently no plans to pick it back up. He'd be the person to talk to. @Eli2 In my opinion, if you do that all the vanilla Morrowind community will praise you for gener...

Re: Cultural learnings of the Internet.
Here is the thing: If there is a term X and the vast majority of people who call themselves X have something in common, then it's fair to equate X with them. Now if we were talking about a few outliers, or even only half of feminists, then you would have a point. I hope you know you just described ...

Re: OpenMW featured on Niche Gamer
Whenever people are having a discussion about whether a thing is good or bad, they need to at least agree on what that thing is. Normally, if someone identifies as a feminist, they'd define it as something like "someone who believes that women and men deserve equal rights and equal opportunitie...

Re: How to install Blender 2.49B nifscripts made easy (windo
I found a bundle on nexusmods awhile back that did this as well and worked with wine too. http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/40980/? <-- while it says oblivion, it should also work on morrowind objects. That's the one I'm currently using, running on Wine. It's a lot more convenient than hunting...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite - Active Development Notice
I was thinking on doing something elevation based with TESannwyn. Anything under a meter of elevation (above sea level) is sand (instead of everything being sand: TES3 land type 1). The max height minus 5 meters would be rock, then a few meters of earth and the rest until 1 meter above sea level wo...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite - Active Development Notice
I don't suppose there's a way to procedurally/dynamically place foliage, rocks, and/or other set dressing (and then manually adjust as necessary), is there? That could reduce the workload considerably, and also make the environments potentially look much more natural. There seem to be plenty of soft...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite - Active Development Notice
NICE! One nitpick, though. In AUTHORS.md, individual authors and their works should be listed instead of opengameart.org, along with links to each person's content, as the site isn't the owner or author of any of the content.
More generally, woohoo!

Re: OpenMW Example Suite - Active Development Notice
could you port that as NIF for the time being? I've spent some time trying to get the Blender nif plugin working (with headaches due to misleading/outdated docs), and I think I've just about got it, but it seems your progress might make mine a bit irrelevant. :P If I know what NIF version I need, t...

Ah yes, the good ol' diamond with an exclamation point. Here's my hastily-made replacement, if anyone wants it.
