Re: Thoughts on game mechanics in Morrowind
But the problem with that is, the Telvanni wouldn't do that. They would if they had reason to. If you had something to offer them, like Divayth Fyr who would want to study your case of corprus, or might be interested in a Dwemer artifact you're offering. Surely they have to go down to the lower flo...

Re: Thoughts on game mechanics in Morrowind
But of course, you can't have a place like that be so integral to the plot and have non-mages not be allowed. Hence my point, "we need you to be a mage even if you didn't roll one, so here's a workaround to get you through regardless". I'd like to see those places be redesigned so that al...

Re: Thoughts on game mechanics in Morrowind
More and more thoughtful input, thank you guys! It's always good to hear agreements and counter-arguments, to understand how other people enjoy things. I have my ways, but I'm only one person! Talrivian's State-based HP and Linora's Levelling Mod x5 First, it's funny how so many mods have Vancian n...

Re: Thoughts on game mechanics in Morrowind
For my part, I actually like that weight has actual meaning in Morrowind. Better that than simply being an arbitrary cap on how much junk you can carry IMHO. If it's the latter, may as well remove it altogether, because that's just an annoyance. At least this way it has an impact before you hit a ma...

Re: Fixes for Uvirith's Legacy
No, UL 3.53 doesn't fix the problems addressed in the patches, but the patch is compatible. I'll try to fix what I can for UL 3.54. I'm not currently working on it, but I am tracking all bugs reported in this thread. Fair. Thanks for the update! However, there's not much I can do about broken Force...

Re: Undo the alleged MCP "fix" for Absorb spell reflection
It actually is harder, unless they're 100% resistant to Magicka, Fire, Frost, Shock and Poison Reflect costs as much as all these resist spells combined, which I implied by 100% resistant (well, maybe a bit lower if you also add paralysis). But what I wanted to say is that, as you said, you can't a...

We appear to have acquired a spambot
Not sure exactly where to put this, but there appears to be a Russian spambot posting in tons and tons of threads. I can't read the Cyrillic characters, but it appears to be the same thing posted over and over again by someone called NOdex, frequently multiple times in a single thread. Can someone p...

Re: Selection of mod compatibility statuses
master_index - works The official master index addon is rather dirty ( unrelated incorrect GMST, it changes a few npc that have nothing to do with propylon indexes) I've switched to this one : https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43931/? I'm rather partial to this: http://download.fliggerty.com...

Re: Undo the alleged MCP "fix" for Absorb spell reflection
Out of curiosity, how are you supposed to deal with enemies with 100% (or nearly 100%) reflect as a pure mage? Even with the vanilla reflect mechanic, you can't actually do any damage and you're just ensuring that you don't get damaged either. Luckily, the only opponent with over 50% reflect in Mor...
