Fair enough. What did I say that sounded like I disagreed with that statement?lysol wrote: Sorry, but drawing a picture isn't the same as making a new game.

Re: Daggerfall on OpenMW?
They object when you copy assets from one game to another, certainly. There's no problem if you recreate those assets from scratch. Otherwise they would have been able to shut down Morroblivion (which they would have very much liked to have done, I believe). They certainly tried. You're not even al...

Re: Daggerfall on OpenMW?
... and most importantly, Bethesda has taken a firm "No" stance on that. It's one thing to create an engine that can utilize existing assets and game data, but another to recreate/copy those assets and game data for a different engine. They object when you copy assets from one game to ano...

Re: OpenMW 0.37.0 (?)
We have to stay realist : openMW is great/awesome... but it's still not as functionnable as Morrowind and that why it's still not yet 1.0. And for the average player it's the only thing that count. 0.37 0.40 or 0.9 it's still 0.X, it's still not 1.X, for communication purpose it makes no difference...

Re: Where can I learn about implementing seamless terrain?
Also, check the Ogre wiki. It's 10 years or so since I looked at doing this seriously but I remember there was a wiki page on the subject of seamless terrain.

Re: Misplaced wildlife
I uh, I just encountered a slaughterfish. In the basement of the Argonian Mission at Ebonheart. I'm not sure if this is the same bug that's just been fixed (I'm not running a nightly build so it could be) or if the mission basement is supposed to be flooded and the water is missing. I'll try and loa...

Pssible issue with stealth & theft
I've been trying the Not A Necromancer quest in Balmora Mages' Guild. Basically you pick the lock on Sharn gra-Muzgob's chest and steal a certain book and then talk to her. She'll admit to actually being a necromancer and teach you a spell in exchange for your silence Anyway, I can get into stealth ...

Re: Tool: Better Install Order
Well, the config file can define multiple data folders in order of priority. If two folders both have a file called "Textures/Foo/Bar.tga" then the one in the higher priority folder wins. And that remains true even if you re-install the lower priority mod. Or another one that also redefine...
