Re: Grey out read dialogue topics
I agree with LI's post above. Whether or not one method is more elegant than the other would be irrelevant. The greyed out option would be the only way to achieve at first glance, what has been read already. Showing a tip once it's already clicked is absolutely worthless in all forms, it completely ...

Re: Changing Character Appearance
There was only one character, so they had less to deal with - but you could go to a barber and get different haircuts for example. In Dragon's Dogma, there was a "barber" that could change hairstyles and facial hair etc., but they also knew cosmetic magic, or "alteration", I gue...

Re: Changing Character Appearance
Just for the record, there's a far, far worse problem than reseting your attributes and skills -- showracemenu also wipes your spell list. So custom spells are just gone and need to be made again, base spells need to be bought again, and abilities given as quest rewards, such as Almalexia's rewards...

Re: Fog shader?
Funny, I was just thinking about this old post the other day. I would love to have something like this as an option! What better way to improve Morrowind's atmosphere than to... well, improve Morrowind's atmosphere?

Re: OpenMW 0.45.0
Though learning about the issue so late after I introduced it accidentally in September is mildly infuriating. Wait... you're telling me it's been 5 months since this affected change, and no one noticed until I filed a bug report (I'm ChristianTheSatanist on Gitlab, btw)? Hrmph. Amat...

Re: OpenMW 0.45.0
I just retested with vanilla MW, jumping is broken in 0.45, at least on the Windows 64-bit RCs that I tested on W7.
EDIT: I tried to download k1ll's Linux RCs to test them, but the links are not working for me. I can't test them as of now.

Re: OpenMW 0.45.0
64-bit Windows RCs seem to be working well for my Windows 7 machine, or, as well as usual. I did notice, however, that the jumping mechanic has changed. The distance covered by a forward jump is now always the same, whether jumping from a walking start or running start. Is this an issue, or intentio...

Re: Reflection on the water surface from underneath
Is it supposed to be that way? Yes, it's intentional and reflects how Snell's law works in real life. It might not be the best practice for actual gameplay, though. From the video, it seems that neither method gives much in the way of information regarding external visual stimuli when underwater. I...

Re: Rethinking the Example Suite
Waste's Edge seems insidiously simple. It takes place inside a small fort not unlike an Imperial Base, so I wouldn't see why it would be too hard to recreate in an Example Suite. Top-Down 2D is much easier to recreate with Accuracy in 3D than with Platformer 2D. Dialogue is all there, simple, has el...
