Re: Will 1.0 be as graphically advanced as MGE?

Some of these things have been implemented already. For instance, the water shader in OpenMW is a little more capable than MGE XE's, as it can dynamically reflect creatures and other actors. The upcoming shadow work is visually stunning, and everything casts a dynamic shadow (except for the player i...

Re: OpenMW crashes on title screen

How did they install Morrowind? Steam, GOG, or original media?

If they installed via Steam, the data files window probably has Bloodmoon listed before Tribunal. Swap that.

Re: [patch] new fog shader

I'm about to leave on vacation, but when I get back, I will create a new patch based on the old one. The conflicts are quite minor.

Re: No Sound

Is output configured properly in pulseaudio? You can always have OpenMW run temporarily in windowed m...

Re: Shadows

This branch may still have some issues, but I think I just fell deeply in love with Morrowind's scenery all over again tonight. Walking west from Seyda Neen to Hla Oad at sunset, the sun low over the Velothi mountains (From Tamriel Rebuilt) in the distance. As the light of the setting sun streamed t...

Re: OpenMW 0.43.0

This really should be posted in the TES3MP section -- It has little to do with OpenMW itself. It certainly shouldn't be posted on a release planning thread for OpenMW.

Re: OpenMw 0.43 Missing textures and low fps

This looks as though your copy of libopenscenegraph does not have its dds loader installed, or that is not working for some reason.

Re: Shadows

Also, recent versions of the nvidia binary drivers for Linux handle Optimus somewhat well enough on their own. You just switch GPUs using the nvidia-settings tool, and cycle your login. It's not as seamless and elegant as bumblebee or primusrun, but there's nothing additional to install, and configu...
