Re: How to make Intelligence appealing to non-mages?
How about making scrolls and magical items have different effectiveness depending on characters intelligence? Scrolls could require a certain amount of it to be cast succesfully (if you're below that, it will fail just like a spell) and enchanted items could for example, follow the same procedure re...

Haha, nice cavalry, with such force they could conquer whole Solstheim!

Re: Items in hand
Yes, that is a nice system and it would be cool to see it done in Morrowind though in ideal world we could also see PC using his hands to do so (if they're not holding anything)

Re: Items in hand
Haven't heard of that Dark Mod, but might give it a try later on. The thing is that if that was supposed to be done via messages (i.e. "You are holding the Necromancer's Amulet, what do you want to do with it?), it would be... well, kind of artificial. I'd prefer it to be visually represented a...

Re: Items in hand
Neat idea though i wonder how would one make it look believable considering different shapes would need different animations of holding. Apart from that it would really be awesome to be able to inspect an item more closely (like in Skyrim's inventory but holding it in-game) and interact with it that...

Re: 3D scene: Navigation modes
IMO you could consider adding Zbrush-like navigation mode. It's not very intuitive or effective using mouse but it's design is great for graphics tablet users and might prove handy for laptops.

Smart NPCs
Hey guys, i came up with an idea of post 1.0 AI improvement that could be implemented in OpenMW. I think that it is somewhot weird that while wandering armed in full daedric armor, wielding powerfull Chrysamere or whatever you are being attacked by bandits in some pitiful equipment. So, my idea is t...

Re: Specular Highlights?
Wow, this thread really evolved into something i wouldn't expect. I won't write great monologs like PeterBitt cause i'm too lazy, but i also feel that many modders make things without having optimisation in mind. For example, InsanitySorrow makes weapons that look really awesome. However when i look...

Re: Art assets
Don't worry, i didn't do that much :P Anyway, to be honest, morrowind REALLY need new skeleton. The old one is just bad and it makes terrible limitations to animations, clothing and body. Apparently, i could do a new body, rig it to a new skeleton and then make animations for it. It'd be hell a lot ...

Re: Art assets
Ok, for now i've finished Idle and i'm polishing WalkForward. I need to slow it down a little bit, because with usual speed and athletics the animation turns out too fast and therefore looks very unnatural. Other than that, i think that after some changes and upgrades here and there it should look p...
