Re: Please add Xbox GUI for controllers

I believe (and call me crazy here) that this has come up before as a point of discussion. One of the issues seems to be that nobody really has familiarity with the Xbox GUI, so nobody can recreate it, and while we could ostensibly simply mish-mash a controller-friendly system into place there's no c...

Re: An interesting reddit comment on code structure

I think that there's also a tendency among coders and programmers to look at things they don't do themselves and say "This sucks." I'm a pretty lame coder myself (I write very expansively, spreading stuff out over as many lines as "is humanly possible", according to people who've...

Re: An interesting reddit comment on code structure

The only danger I could see in that is whether or not the people doing the documentation pass would be able to go in and actually understand what each piece of code is doing. I assume that right now a documentation pass would mean that current developers take time off of development in order to try ...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

Yeah, well, that's nice and all, but I strongly suspect porting meshes and worldspaces will be among the least problems to make an OpenOblivion engine happen. Hope it be not separate engine like OpenOB but just OpenMw can run both games :? Apart from the obvious technical disparities, Bethesda does...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

You know, I can't count the number of times I've been playing Skyrim and thought "If only this had Morrowind's mechanics."

But whuy on 0.36? Is something about OGRE issues?
I think it's just something to do with when the project started.

Re: Black cells on the map

What hardware are you on?

IIRC, the map is rendered from the scene data, so it could be a shader error occuring during the minimap creation phase.
