Adding scripts generated like a levelled list merger.
I've been hacking omwllf to 'merge' another kind records in order to make a mod that alters all spell scrolls (and vendor spell sellers, the idea is to make scrolls learnable and disable spell vendors regardless of which mods adding scrolls are installed and without requiring MWSE). My current probl...

Re: Parallax maps question
This would be a great mod if it is completed. Would require one to get rid of most mesh and texture replacers (if i'm not wrong - or maybe just installing them after would be enough, if it's a texture-mesh pair or just a mesh), but it would be very worth it. I'm interested in particular in this for ...

Re: Recent Negativity Regarding OpenMW
So they get references to the original strings in the game memory and save that? I mean, you don't really need binary/bytecode compatibility, just a (sane, refactoring required is eminently sensible) modicum of source compatibility. Every esp i've opened on openmw-cs showed scripts in source form so...

Re: Recent Negativity Regarding OpenMW
Why isn't there already a fork for MWSE functions? Or even LUA. MWSE 1.x is a batch of hacks with extremely weird syntax and own bugs, so no one voluntereed to port and maintain it. When we tried to determine what we can use from MWSE, we figured out that only trigonometry functions are good enough...

Re: Post 1.0 Plans
In this particular case i agree with the devs. Both in that 3d world interactivity is superior for immersion to GUI elements, and that the actual GUI should be tightly integrated to the engine - because of things like 'alternative controller systems' (say, mouse click to move, or controller only), s...

Re: Read-Topics Function for UI
Yeah on second thought my idea above is pretty useless. Many topics go into a cycle that could 'potentially' open a green topic to the point it'd be irritating. Maybe not so much grey out topics but just leave the 'normal' and 'green' for new to not induce some false sense of security that you've se...

Re: Read-Topics Function for UI
Pretty useful. The implementation might be slightly ugly (hashcodes checks on every open dialog and saved on every topic click is my first idea) but it isn't like opening a npc dialog happens often or there are that many topics at a time (for a computer). However i'd like it if that the 'color' gree...

Re: Recent Negativity Regarding OpenMW
Honestly, i use openmw exclusively (for performance and stability) but from my understanding, people are right complaining about certain indicators. Namely saying 'we won't support scenegraph manipulation in mods' is leaving worthy projects like glow in the dhark to MWSE and out of OpenMW, and also ...

Re: data folder order causing physics stutter
I quite like that mod but my computer is complete shit so i won't really use it (but i'm only really seeing a drop of about 3-5 fps with it). Thing is, if you really want to increase graphical performance in morrowind or openmw (and have a completely ancient and already bad gpu at the time like me) ...

Re: Wrye Mash for OpenMW -Need omwgame, omwaddon info.
The problem is also pretty much cultural. There are still mods coming out with 'btw, move these meshes to the dir for no collision' or 'put these esp on the top level for compatibility with other mods'. It's a mess. Some mods even give the impression that they work unzipped, fool wrye mash and then ...
