Re: New modder
Well the texture stretching is because you didn't edit your UV map, you can do this in Nifskope but it's easier in Blender or whatever 3D program you're using. The plastic effect could be a couple of different things. 1. Check to see if there's a NiSpecularProperty in the original NIF, then check yo...

Re: Using Different Meshes For Multiple/Stack Items?
Thanks, I'll be sure to leave that naming structure alone then.
Could I possibly make this a feature request?
It seems like it'd be a limiting factor for a lot of people wanting to make standalone games in the future.

Re: New modder
OpenMW supports multiple mod folders, so you don't have to overwrite files: see here
Please post an image of your mesh as well as an image of your UV map, Imgur is a good option for this.

Re: New modder
Welcome! I'm a little bit confused about what you want to do. A. Make Morrowind's Nordic Battleaxe use your mesh rather than the vanilla one or B. Make a new in-game weapon using your mesh I only ask because: "how do I get my edited mesh to take its place without overwriting the old one" d...

Using Different Meshes For Multiple/Stack Items?
Sorry about the title, I have no idea how to phrase that. So just to explain what I mean: Gold looks like this in the CS: Gold_001 Gold_005 Gold_010 Gold_025 Gold_100 Each entry has a different NIF with matching amounts of stacked gold. My question is, how does the engine utilize this? Is it based o...

Re: Ability To Add More Sliders To Race Menu
Right, that would require re-working the entire usage of nifs. I don't mean that I want the ability to point to textures using the CS, but rather the ability to point multiple nifs to a head entry in a similar manner to how clothing/armor is handled. - Having "skin" sliders be dependent on...

Ability To Add More Sliders To Race Menu
How difficult would it be to add new sliders to the race menu? I'm creating several new races for what may eventually be a standalone game (free from MW assets.) For most of them this isn't an issue, but for the most prevalent races things get tedious. Example: The Sheikah race has 8 unique female h...

Re: Layering Alpha Enabled Meshes
Thank you for the detailed explanation Chris.
I'll keep that in mind in the future when working with transparency techniques.

Re: Layering Alpha Enabled Meshes
Enable alpha testing in addition to alpha blending in the alpha property. Problem solved. Wow, I feel incredibly dumb for overlooking that. Sorry for the clutter thread, then. Why do some modders report this as an issue with their hair? They also just overlooked it or what? Thank you so much...
