Re: OpenMW support for other games: Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout and more
There are still a handful of vanilla features we know we've not implemented. Mostly they're minor enough that we know we won't have to do any big refactors of the engine to make them work, which has eroded the need to delay fun things like Lua. IIRC, it's basically just a few obscure Nif features, t...

Re: Pond shadow issue (One Day Morrowind Modernization guide)
It's an OpenMW setting, and is supposed to be on by default.

Re: Pond shadow issue (One Day Morrowind Modernization guide)
The green scum is actually another plane that sits just above the water level, so it's likely z-fighting. Maybe something's changed the height of the scum mesh and it's closer to the water than it should be, or maybe you've got an inappropriate near plane for the viewing distance you're using (or re...

Re: Pond shadow issue (One Day Morrowind Modernization guide)
Do you have a less-compressed copy available? There's enough there to see that something's not quite right, but not enough to identify what.

In the meantime, Fireflies Invade Morrowind is a pretty similar mod that does work.

Re: Oblivion-like hotkey wheel option for controller users
We're not that far off having UI bindings exposed to Lua, so hopefully, this will be something people can mod in soon.

Re: How To Diagnose "Yellow Checkmark" Mesh issue
There'll be entries in your log (which you can find with https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reference/modding/paths.html) saying it was unable to find various meshes and it's falling back to using marker_error.nif , which is a mesh with a big yellow exclamation mark in it. Also, you can open th...

Re: Issues With Delta Plugin
Unlike shells like Bash, PowerShell makes a distinction between commands and strings. By quoting the path to the program, you've made it explicitly a string rather than something which gets decided based on context. It's not expecting merge to come straight after a string, so tells you there's an un...

Re: Application JSchmidt
We can just have Webpack/Jekyll/whatever eat the Markdown as source code when the site's built before it's deployed, then the server's just got a bunch of HTML files and a CSS file it serves up and doesn't have to do any thinking beyond that, and the browser gets some static HTML pages and CSS to ma...

Re: Application JSchmidt
It doesn't need to be a webapp, so there's no point in it being React-based. The buttons are all links that take you to other pages, not things that send other elements flying around the screen. We basically just want a bunch of static pages and to be able to publish a new blog entry by putting a Ma...
