Hmmm... sounds like fun. This also means that maintainers have more work to do to make sure -DBULLET2_USE_THREAD_LOCKS=ON is used.
Yes, but only in case if btCollisionWorld really supports parallel sweep tests. I did not find much info about it.

Re: Hey let's switch away from bullet to anything else (discussion)

Anyone test to see if setting -DBULLET2_USE_THREAD_LOCKS=ON when building bullet will help here? Since I am on Gentoo, I can build the Bullet by myself. Unfortunately, even if additional locks will prevent crashes, it will not improve performance automatically - someone will need to rewrite the Phy...

Re: Hey let's switch away from bullet to anything else (discussion)

Just for reference: most of time is spent here. Even if we will use something else instead of Bullet, we will need split workload somehow to different threads, or find another ways to optimize actor's processing.

Re: Help me to Fix MSVCP140.dll is Missing error

Is it possible to provide Microsoft libraties in OpenMW packages for Windows, or somehow notify users about they need a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable?

I just tried the Linux 64 bit RC and it crashed right after leaving the Excise office.
Crash log attached below.

I am using Opensuse Tumbleweed on I5 with AMD RX 560.
Judging by log, it is a notorious crash with OSG 3.6.3.
I thought that release packages use 3.4 branch.

Re: Crashing on startup in Arch Linux

Just to clarify, sudo isn't fixing anything. I just tried it to see if anything would change. The whole openmw folder has read/write permissions. console output: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10KuqZ2q71l7MUYYg97F8J6iWkvuVb7BlHl7wHe1iGro/edit?usp=sharing openmw.cfg: https://drive.google.com/fil...

Re: Crashing on startup in Arch Linux

1. You do not need to use sudo for OpenMW.
2. It it a quite hard to give advices without openmw.cfg
(you can attach it to forum post or just use any external storage, just do not copy-paste the whole file content to your post)

I already tried it but no help.
Do you have the MSVCP140.dll installed on your system (I assume you installed mentioned package, right)?
I suppose it should be in the C:\Windows\System32\ on the 32-bit OS or in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ on the 64-bit OS.

Basically, you need the Microsoft Visual C ++ Redistributable package.
