I tend to use UnionFS, it works fine to separate completely different view of the game. But I agree something official with OpenMW would be useful. Do we mean to host OpenMW mods in this site? If we do I think we should refuse works with restrictive licenses to reduce the amount of unusable good work.

It is very confusing for newcomers to read that OpenMW does not render terrain!

I am fairly sure it is possible to still use gcc in osx, so it should not be a problem.
