Re: 2 Ideas, both quite huge tasks
RPGs just seem like they should be single-player to me, because you are the central character of the story. The world revolves around your schedule, and you get to determine the occurrence of specific events. I disagree with this. One of the biggest things that bug me about TES is how everything so...

Re: Realistic lockpicking
Just like how I rarely use fast travel when playing Oblivion or Skyrim. I could if I wanted but I choose not to for immersion and roleplaying. Have to admit, though, it gets extremely irritating when a quest chain sends you back and forth across a good portion of the map multiple times in successio...

Re: A Set of Ideas
If the animations in Oblivion & Skyrim are in NIF format then why can modders already convert them over? For example, the standard walking animations. I love Skyrim's female walk. Why can't that animation currently be converted for usage in Morrowind? In addition to what Zini said, the biggest ...

Re: 2 Ideas, both quite huge tasks
I personally don't care for multi-player or even dual player. I like single-player. That's just my opinion. Although the NPC following AI could do with a huge overhaul. I hate how they get stuck and cannot enter/exit interiors/exteriors on their own. I agree with everything you said. I actually hat...

Re: Climbing Skill for OpenMW
I'm still confused, what does OpenMW do that OGRE doesn't and vice versa? Why do you need both? OpenMW is a game engine, specifically designed to run the assets from Morrowind. It handles gameplay, game mechanics, game data, etc. Ogre is the renderer that OpenMW uses to actually get graphics on the...

Re: Improving the quick keys
An alternative is the ability to select quick keys whilst inside the inventory. E.g. by hovering your mouse over an item / spell and just pressing a number. Then maybe getting a number over the item, showing that it is selected as a quick key. That sounds like the best and most efficient approach f...

Re: EDITOR: Region generation
After deeper investigation, I found the topic that you created that covers this. (Integrated Grass layout tool) Well, if the team is already aware of this request then I'm happy. One a somewhat similar topic of trees, I would like to add another suggestion: After I played a bit on the new re...

Re: Climbing Skill for OpenMW
This is an open source project. We have full access to the source, which means we can change any aspect of OpenMW at any time. OGRE is a somewhat different story, since it is an external project, that is just used by OpenMW. Open source too, but the process of making changes to it would be somewhat...

Re: Realistic lockpicking
Yea, the spell is rather powerful. Even with a mod though, I dont see how you can remedy this fact unless you made the spell prohibitively expensive and hard to cast. Even then, you still have lock splitter scrolls laying around, some of which are given during quests. I know it does take a few leve...
