Have you tried "Damn Small Linux", according to its website it even runs on "a 486DX with 16MB of Ram". Then set up a dual-boot environment with windows 98 as the second system for the more obscure games.

Did you consider the solution of removing win98 and put something modern like gnu/linux? heaver and requires more resources than 98 and also even with wine won't run particular games that only 98 can run correctly. If any Linux is too 'heavy', then OpenMW is waaaay too 'heavy' for your PC anyway. A...

I have an old English version here. But I don't have the Expansion, so the highest version of Morrowind I can test is 1.2.0722 (=latest patch for morrowind without addons), which loads my non-NULL-terminated morrowind.esm just fine. edit: when I add a null to the end I get a warning message but it s...
