Re: Graduating from college this week

@Lysol: Thank you!

@Drummyfish: Thanks! Yeah, that's why it took me so long to finish. I didn't see the use in a math degree by itself so I took two years off of school until I went back to the engineering department for CS. Math was definitely my first passion.

Graduating from college this week

So I've been in college almost as long as I've been a part of the Morrowind Modding community and this week I'm finally graduating! :D (10 years in college for two degrees) I'm getting my bachelors in Computer Science and Mathematics and going out to Santa Barbara to do robotics and machine learning...

Re: Terrain Editing

Ah, I see. I was just thinking how cool it would be if each edit was saved as an in-order linked-list so you could have a record of all game/plugin changes made to a plugin, in order.

Re: Terrain Editing

@Zini: How does the Undo Stack function? Is each alteration (undoable act) pointed to by the previous one in some way?

Re: Speech recognition?

That's an interesting idea. A speech entry control would probably be useful (hold spacebar to select a topic) Clear and accurate speech recognition is becoming pretty easy. Aside from the complication of needing to make this a part of the engine ('native code' problem that AnyOldName3 brought up) th...

Re: Feature #2229: Improve pathfinding AI

I noticed in the demo video of this feature that the FPS dipped below 20 at some points when a lot or even a few NPCs were near the player.

Re: Trying to understand the NPC, NPDTstruct52 and NPDTstruct12 / Bug #3278

Interesting discussion.

What are some examples of NPCs that use the 12-byte variant? And what could possibly be stored in the 172-byte variant?

Errors in OpenCS seem not like Errors to me

When running "Verify" on the Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon base game, a lot of "Errors" (and Warnings) pop up. Very few of these things are clearly not "Errors" as errors are defined. They may be unexpected by the CS, but I believe that's just an oversight by the person who wrote the "Verify" code. S...
