Re: Construction Set ideas

So a ray cast from the object the "drop here" command was run on, going downwards a short bit until it hits another object and then moves there. I myself would want to see a good 3D snap-to-grid function, maybe even (way past 1.0) something that would make fitting pieces of corridors and such snap t...

Re: Configuration & Packaging

If the right openmw.cfg file is openmw.cfg.install, then yes, the installer will install the right one to the global location.

Re: MSVCR100.dll error

So it only happens on XP then?

I guess I could try to see if there's a way to package in both those working DLLs and the standard redist. I'd have no reliable way to test it though, only got win7 computers.

Re: Configuration/Path Handling/Packaging

After some trial and error I got windows packaging sort-of done. It creates a viable installer but the developer in question needs to download the Visual C++ Redist fitting to the version of Visual C++ that was used to compile it. It also needs to have all the Ogre, Qt and other DLLs in the Release ...

I have never created an installer for something before, but if someone would be kind enough to give me some pointers I could try my hand at getting CPack for windows working.

Re: Configuration/Path Handling/Packaging

I don't know if it helps but I wrote a quick piece of code for retrieving the Morrowind install path from the windows registry, it's on GitHub even though I failed a bit with the branch (forgot to switch to it before committing).
It works on my 64-bit install and it should work on 32-bit windows too.

Re: MSVCR100.dll error

Since I've built the binaries with Visual Studio 2010 they require the Visual C++ 2010 redistibutable to run.

It can be found Here, I'm hoping to have the setup (when there is one) install it automagically.

Re: cmake improvements

I'm guessing that the components are supposed to be in their own project, if so then it seems to be working.
