Re: Quill of Feyfolken

Hey Kuyondo, nice find. This one sounds really interesting. How can I help? I dont have the privelage to do it there. I'm working on a way for folks to submit feedback about mods, both ones that are already listed and ones that aren't (like this one.) I hope to have an open beta of this ready in the...

Re: OpenMW Modding Website

I don't know who made this, but it's really nice and neat. This site can help you find the mods youre looking to play in OpenMW and the advice/steps to make them work for it(if needed). https://modding-openmw.com/mods/ Hey - I'm the author and I wanted to thank you for sharing the site. I hope you ...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?

Totally! If it works, it works. :) I was wondering about if/when people start contributing and/or tagging content for example, how it was going to be stored. I that Django makes things kinda simple with it's ORM for adding a backend, even something as simple as sqlite is likely enough. Yeah that's ...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?

Is there a backend competent? No backend, but that'd be a relatively simple task to add one. As of right now, all data is instantiated through a seed script. I've got the mod data stored in a python dict format, these are then consumed by the seed script each time I do a deploy (after dropping/recr...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?

Would you consider moving your code to GitHub/GitLab, that way improvements can come in the form of code enhancements, rather than solely from user feedback? Now that there's a larger interest in the site and its codebase -- absolutely. I've started thinking about how I could share the site code so...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?

Is there support for tagging, as in assigning tags to a mod? If you mean can a user add a tag -- at present no, in fact the site is currently read-only for visitors save the ability to send me contact messages via a simple form. That said, Ravenwing and I have been discussing how I could move in th...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?

Thanks Ravenwing. Adding a metadata field for the "testing status" as it were is a good idea. I've been wanting to track mod version information too, but not every mod has a consistent version scheme which makes this tricky. I should just bite the bullet and make up versions as needed. I also like t...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?

Hey all- RavenWing reached out to me via email and I wanted to hop into the conversation here. Earlier in this thread a "bespoke database" was mentioned, and what I've got is essentially some form of that. I'm happy to work with you folks to do whatever it takes to improve the content and inter-oper...
