Re: List of (other) FOSS game engine replacement projects

I got a site working with sortable elements -> https://abelsromero.gitlab.io/foss-game-engines/projects/projects/ 99% the site is still the demo and some dirty tests, but could be a beginning. The data is stored as YAML (also supported toml, json) https://gitlab.com/abelsromero/foss-game-engines/bl...

Re: New to OpenMW and Modding

Well I've got purple trees, purple dragon flowers, missing tree meshes, and some floating mushrooms that should be attached to logs and tree meshes. I would like to get rid of some of the mods and test to see which ones are causing issues. How would I go about reinstalling the original vanilla text...

I don't suppose it also allows for making columns sortable? Might be nice to sort by name, license, or language.
Well, it does in Emacs, but the tables on GitHub/Lab are static. :(

Can Markdown do tables? That might be a nicer way to organize things.
Yes it can. :)

Re: Modding-OpenMW.com -- mod categories/tagging

I'd like to solicit some feedback about the current category/tag scheme I've got on the website. There are currently two major problems that I see or others have pointed out: 1. The tags in particular are really subjective. I did struggle with what tags should go on what mods, what I have now can c...

Re: Modding-OpenMW.com -- FOSSing the site code

1. How to host the code (self-hosted Gitea or similar, Github, Gitlab, etc) 2. How to handle merge requests and releases 3. How to decide the overall future of the website 1. The Winds seems to be blowing towards GitLab for these kinds of projects right now, and that doesn't sound bad to me. 2. I g...

Re: What to expect in the future

My pipe dream would be for that to be integrated into the OpenMW Launcher itself so you could just browse for mods, check them off, and then have them automatically downloaded, unpacked, and ready to play. Who knows. It might be a thing some day, but it would definitely be post-1.0. Another really ...

Re: New to OpenMW and Modding

Also, is there any where I could just find a complete mods folder and config file? This is taking forever. Hi! I am pretty sure the problem with that is, that most mod have very little license information available, and therefore you are not allowed to redistribute or combine them with other mods. ...

Re: Fix The Lady Lover and Steed Birthsigns

Changing the base attribute is not unique to birthsigns. Picking your favourite attribute during character creation also adds +5 to your base attribute, the same way as vanilla implements birthsigns. I find the logic of when OpenMW applies +25 and when it doesn't to be arbitrary and hard to figure ...

Re: Fix The Lady Lover and Steed Birthsigns

Thx for this. It is sad that i have to install a mod for correct behaviour. Glad to help, but sorry you feel that way! I really agree with OpenMW's change. The original behavior is strange since it makes a game mechanic work very different in one specific case. However, I understand that you and ma...
