Re: Shadows

I've also noticed that this branch seems to break terrain texture blending, making the entire world a massive patchwork of seams everywhere. That should probably be resolved down the line before this is merged. This is a FANTASTIC start, AON3! Great work!

Re: Shadows

I would think, Lysol, that it would be even more prudent to get shadows into at least one 0.XX release before 1.0

Re: VPN suggestions

One thing to do with VPNs, is make certain that if you use one, to truly use it. Make certain that you are routing all your traffic through it, and not using 'split tunneling'.

Re: Meshes failing to load inside playbymac virtual machine

As stated in another thread, try the -g flag to innoextract (or --gog)

Re: Distant Land Status?

Perhaps post your settings.cfg, and we could help. Also, are you using OpenMW >= 0.42.0?

Re: Shadows

For those of us that are poking at this branch, what recommended settings do you have to get the shadows to work?

Re: Improving distant terrain distance

I'm fairly certain that MGE XE generates fog very differently than Vanilla when Distant Land is used. It has several different fog modes (pixel/vertex, range/depth, exponential/linear I believe)

Re: Is there a way to disable the new 'anti climbing' feature of 0.42?

Athletics is a factor of how fast your character runs and swims (Along with the speed attribute), Acrobatics controls how high you can jump, and how far you can fall without taking falling damage. Really, what you're looking for is the Levitation spell, the Jump spell, or building your acrobatics.

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

I agree about OBSE personally. While MWSE is very much a niche thing, it seems as though for Oblivion most mods use OBSE (and for Skyrim a large number used SKSE, until the Special Edition)
