Re: A way to look for bugs in CS

Testers for the editor are certainly needed! The only way bugs will be found is if we have people using the editor. Thank you for starting this. :)

Re: Transparent Object Markers

It looks like Blender is always drawing the arrows at the same size over the object and not scaling them when the user is zooming in and out. Would that be a solution for OpenMW-CS too? I did try that at one point and remember not thinking much of it. Unfortunately I can't remember all of the reaso...

Re: Transparent Object Markers

Also I like the bottom left example where the arrows get pointy towards the center - what do you think about that? It's an interesting artistic choice, but functionally I don't see how it makes a difference. Perhaps I am missing something? It doesn't seem like the user would be able to easily click...

Re: Installing the CS

Recently the following was mentioned regarding the ubuntu ppa, so perhaps you will want to try again after the next version is released. I've been updating packages, making things ready for the new release. There are currently no openmw packages away because new ones haven't been published yet with ...

Re: Transparent Object Markers

perhaps turning the rotational widget into a stick variant would also solve the issue I'd be interested in pursuing this route. The rotation markers were constructed by myself originally, and while my sense for aesthetics is perfect and infallible , the markers do not look as great in their current...

Re: Transparent Object Markers

I don't see much of an issue with making the arrow shafts skinnier, so long as the heads are clearly visible. However, for the rotation markers it would be a problem. Do we want separate widths or should we keep them uniform? In the latter case we would not want to make the shafts skinnier. especial...

Re: Installing the CS

Are those packages from the ubuntu ppa or someplace else? It seems like a packaging issue to me.

Re: Transparent Object Markers

Here's an image of what it looks like if the markers are adjusted to not self intersect.

Re: Transparent Object Markers

I'd prefer to have key bindings like in Blender for moving, rotation and scaling and also for fixing them into one axis. That is a planned feature, which would exist in addition to having the object markers with configurable transparency. Would it be possible to make the arrow size dependent on the...

Re: Transparent Object Markers

Perhaps we could draw a bounding box around the object to make intersections easier to see?

The pull request in its current state is available here. It's not in master, so you would have to build it yourself if you wanted to test it out.
