Re: OpenMW 0.42.0

Some GPUOpen stuff is D3D only, but other parts work under OpenGL and/or Vulkan. As it's under proper open-source licences, it's not impossible to port the D3D-only parts to GL/Vulkan, and last time I checked, there were several projects working on porting the more interesting parts (e.g. TressFX) w...

Re: [U IX:R] Titans of Ether announcement?

I'm assuming CC-By-NA is a typo for either NC or SA, but it'd help to know which.

Re: tes3mp Release 006

It depends if people want it to play like an MMO (where everyone gets to do every quest), or like something such as Borderlands (where quest status is shared between all players).

Re: scrawl is back and more

I think everyone wants it to happen, but the code has to be in a maintainable state and not break single anything. The Tes3MP guys will want to achieve these things too, so with any luck, it's just going to be a matter of time and ensuring both projects have enough manpower.

Re: Morrowind on G2A for < $5; was Application: FedeWar

This set of screenshots of a reddit discussion should at the least highlight G2A lying about what they do to protect consumers: http://imgur.com/gQhoEmH Without G2A shield, they always side with the seller when a dispute happens, regardless of how 'obvious' it is where the issue lies. With G2A shiel...

Re: Application: FedeWar

It's closer to a prison with poison gas dispensers in the showers - it's possible to use it for benign purposes (e.g. holding criminals while you attempt to rehabilitate them so they can be productive members of society) if you don't use the gas dispensers, but it was clearly designed for evil. I'm ...

Re: Application: FedeWar

If you're going to use G2A, you might as well pirate it (and obviously we don't recommend doing that). Sometimes you get a key that works, sometimes you get one that doesn't, and sometimes you get one that works for a while and is then revoked a week later. The real reason to avoid it, though, is th...

Re: Application: FedeWar

As for getting hold of a copy of Morrowind, Steam isn't the only legitimate site to buy it from, and many of the smaller ones have more frequent or better sales. isthereanydeal.com attempts to track sales on a bunch of sites (all authorised), but GamesPlanet is usually a good place to look for Bethe...

Re: OpenMW 0.42.0

It's as simple as

Code: Select all

CI/before_script.msvc.sh
on Windows. That's not much harder than make

Re: Advanced rendering

If autogeneration is an option, we should still allow it to be turned off, and also allow some mechanism for modders to create LOD meshes to be used instead when appropriate. It almost certainly wouldn't get merged if it was always on, made certain things look wonky, and/or was too inflexible to all...
