Re: found a huge issue in the new release (0.44.0 release)

it appears to have reverted. It works just fine for me on master. Make sure the region you're currently in corresponds to the argument you've set when calling the command. On re-testing it now works for me. Possibly a mod-clash earlier, though I wasn't using any that I expected to clash. Possibly a...

Re: Quill of Feyfolken

I'm not sure if it's worth adding the info to the mod compatibility page, given the current proposals to handle these on the https://modding-openmw.com/mods/ site.

But I do think it would be worth giving details here of the script errors and how to fix them.

Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

repeat information in multiple places. Duplication of effort: BAD; Duplication of access: GOOD. Agreed! Official Docs I’ve done quite a bit of work with our documentation so far. The essentials are mostly there in some form, but I also basically copied and pasted much of the content from their old ...

Re: [SOLVED] - RR Mod Series - Telvanni Lighthouse Tel Vos - CRASH

I don't see any crash or hang when using the Linux 0.44 RC2 version. The specified warning appears in the log, but no obvious other effects. I suggest the bug #4526 be marked as "Research needed" or something similar. Probably unrelated - the mod is contained in a rar archive, which Archive Manager ...

Re: Move RTD docs to separate repo

I am in favour.

From my perspective as an occasional producer of documentation, I think it will make my life easier.

But those who produce both code and documentation may find their lives more difficult if they have to contribute to two different repos, and keep them in synch.

I don't use NMM - I assume it would work, but don't know whether it would take advantage of the multiple-subdirectory opportunity.

Re: Getting the Actor that the Player Hits

I think you might find an option for part of the solution in the skill-development code in Emma's more recent companions. As I recall, they monitor the sounds generated for weapon-hits, and adjust skills accordingly. You will need to identify the target - looks like gettarget may be what you need fo...

Re: Is there a better way to document mod compatibility?

I think I can help test out mods and determined their compatibility with OpenMW. I have lots of spare time. But I am not an expert on editing the openmw wiki page. Maybe I can send the information or documentation of the mod to someone who can edit the wiki page better. I would be happy to proceed ...
