Get/Mod/SetStat, Fortify/Drain Stat, and Leveling Mods

TL;DR at the end. I just did a round of testing, and the deeper I went the more interesting things got. This may also speak to why GCD doesn't seem to allow your attributes to grow beyond 95, as Galsiah may have been exploiting bugs that have been fixed in OpenMW. I started my investigation with For...

Re: OpenMW 0.42.0

I didn't say it was a good idea. Of course, I didn't think it would be quite that bad.

In that case, my vote is on waiting for the videos. I'll be looking forward to them.

Re: Data File paths and Capitalization

Yeah, it's actually turned out to be quite a bit easier than I expected. Lots of copy and paste, though. Removing a mod is as simple as commenting out that line in the openmw.cfg file, and reinstalling a mod you didn't set up properly also much easier (I currently have bright purple kwama foragers a...

Re: OpenMW 0.42.0

I also enjoy the videos. It's an entertaining way to catch up on the latest changes. But I can also understand people wanting the latest version to be released, especially if they're holding off on starting a new game until it does. Perhaps there's a way to meet in the middle? If 0.42 is ready for r...

Re: Data File paths and Capitalization

I guess that will work, although it seems a bit tedious. Then again, doing a fresh install with a new mod list is always tedious, moreso to get it stable, so I suppose it's worth it. Thanks for bringing this up, I would have probably tried to make it work my way, otherwise. I'm a bit curious, though...

Data File paths and Capitalization

So I decided to jump back into Morrowind and I was working on installing some mods when I noticed something. While extracting the mods, I would get, say, one folder named "meshes" and another named "Meshes" (notice the capital M), which my PC treats as two separate folders. I believe this is more of...

Re: [resolved] Crisis in Ubuntu land

So here's what I did. I got an RX 480. The AMDGPU drivers are super good now, so I don't need proprietary drivers any more. This interests me because I've been wanting to build a new PC for a while now (going to have to wait a little longer as taxes just cleaned me out), and one of the things I was...

Re: 360° field of vision?

Projections like that aren't natural for viewing on a flat monitor. But is it an improvement over what we're currently using? That's the question. As long as things toward the center of the screen are relatively undistorted I think it would still work well. Plus I'd kind of like to see a game with ...

360° field of vision?

I realize that there's a lot more pressing things being worked on at the moment, but I just stumbled across this and though it would be hella cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9v_XN7Wxh8 https://github.com/shaunlebron/blinky As one of the commenters points out, human vision is pretty close to 1...
