Re: Is openmw compatible with MGSO

Well, grass is another thing OpenMW will possibly support natively in the future and much better than MGE does now. The way it works now is that every single grass object has to be placed in the game (though I believe there are tools which can place them automatically according to the ground texture...

Re: Is openmw compatible with MGSO

The results were a little disappointing. I also get the 'shiny rocks' error, but otherwise cannot really tell the difference apart from a 25% drop in FPS (which is abysmal already on my system: from 20 to 15 fps outside on an i3 3.3Ghz with 8GB and a 2GB Nvidia GT 730 at 1680x1050). Notably, I had ...

Re: Get data files from GOG setup without wine

That sounds good, I think I'm going to re-buy Morrowind from gog, I'm tired of using CDs. Edit: 20€? Too much, they are crazy. You could always rip all the CD's in to a folder and create a script to run the installers one after another. Makes re-installs easier. That's what I will do, since I alrea...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

With something like Awesomebump you could generate new normal maps pretty easily based on the diffuse texture. You don´t even need texturing/modeling/any skills for that. It all comes down to someone willing to go through the process of replacing the environment maps with normal maps. You don't nee...

Re: Delay 1.0 untill all of MWSE is implemented

I'm not saying don't add the missing 1.0 features first, I'm saying maybe we should slightly adjust the 1.0 roadmap and get the graphical features and removing of hard coding go into OpenMW-future. Shots fired! I do understand that some people want to play with their MWSE-dependant mods, but dehard...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

An OpenNehrim would be fantastic! :) But it really uses a lot of Assets from Oblivion, as far as I know. And I don't think just buying assets from some website would not do, they would have to be adjusted to work not only with the engine, but also with the existing game world, and it would most like...

Re: New models and their scale

Yes, Imperials have a scale of 1.0, so this would be quite accurate. And yes, if 70 units are 1m, then naturally 140 are 2 meters. ;) The "in X feet radius" magical effects use a conversion factor of 1 foot = 22 game units. (I don't know if it's documented somewhere, but that's what I got experiment...

Re: New models and their scale

First, average NPC height (scale 1.0) is 128 units, not 130. Second, this does not equal 2 meters (or where do you live that the average human is 2 meters tall? :D ) but approximately six feet which is about 182cm. The most accurate conversion I know of is 7 units to 10 centimeters, as was already q...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

[ Didn't Morrowind have multiple Worldspaces? Like every interior was a new Worldspace and there was Mournhold or are you referring to looking outside the city in oblivion, it doesn't look like another Worldspace until you TCL out of there? Morrowind only has one exterior worldspace, and with tribu...
