Re: Some modeling/animation questions. Offering RDP Renderin

If that is the case, why not try and make textures for us? 3d modeling once it gets going might not be *that bad*, but the texturing is where it will all come down to. Since you seem to care (as I do) about that atmosphere and darkness of the game when you start it, you should have a good idea on w...

Do none of the OP game mechanics (features) work still?

Hi all, couldn't get drain (Skill) on self and then trainer to cost 1g. But it did adjust the price some after a few tries? Seems like something odd is going on there.

Does the "STARE AT WALL. CAST SOULTRAP + FORTIFY ATTRIBUTE" thing still work?

Re: Some modeling/animation questions. Offering RDP Renderin

I just started on this project last week, and got the hang of the modeling tools needed. I'll be discussing in detail polygon count and when the organization is completed, I'll update the thread and create another for the actual work process. I edited the first post earlier today but I'll just summa...

Re: Some modeling/animation questions. Offering RDP Renderin

Yeah, but simpler I found. I had NO luck getting NifSkope to run in my Mint 17 KDE distro. Couldn't complie it. I think I will have to adjust the sourcecode but I was just looking for a way to get it working quickly. I did not install any extra items with the installation of openmw. Just used the ap...

Re: Some modeling/animation questions. Offering RDP Renderin

Yeah. My models don't exactly line up anywhere, and I'm just using the morrowind models imported in to get the general feel of that said tree I'm making a replacement for. AKA: The first tree I started with on here is that massive spread out, branchless tree. Having a sizing comparison to work with ...

Re: Some modeling/animation questions. Offering RDP Renderin

I honestly understood most of what you said, but not sure on implications or how to do some of it. I don't know what to use for the database and such, never done any projects like this. So if after next week you say you can help, if you set something like that up I'll gladly start uploading my stuff...

Re: Some modeling/animation questions. Offering RDP Renderin

Thanks a ton for your input. As it currently stands, I'm scrapping that way of doing the meshes. I'll be making the meshes using curves and then I can control it better from there. I'll upload something tomorrow to show you the curve method. I got a screenshot of it here: http://imgur.com/3Zjv3j8 It...

Re: On performance

You know it is strange. I'm using Mint KDE 17 I believe, and I'm getting 10 FPS just about no matter what. I have tried changin all the settings I can think of without any difference to the FPS. If I enable all graphics options it will drop to 7 interior and 5 exterior :o Using Radeon R9 280x AMD FX...

Re: Some modeling/animation questions. Offering RDP Renderin

Allowing better animations is definitely on the table. Ogre3D will be of use there, but it is not as simple as that. We will have to put quite a bit of work into it on our site. This is a post 1.0 feature though. We aren't there yet. Awesome. Well these are just some things i'm interested in. Grant...
