Re: OSG port roadmap and design plans

scrawl, It sounds like your solution could address more than the problem with Cliff Racer and Netch corpses. Will it address the problems with collisions during animation? Such as, for example, when Wild Guar attack you, they will run up to you so close that your POV will be inside their head, resul...

Re: Observations on 0.34

So, I timed some ranged spells over the same distances in Morrowind and OpenMW. Standing by the front door of the armor merchant in Balmora and shooting across the plaza, my Ring of Lightning took about 4.5 seconds in Morrowind and 5.5 seconds in OpenMW to hit the city gates. I repeated the test out...

Re: Observations on 0.34

Hey! What's going on here? You are supposed to change the subject when you threadjack. Did you mean to name your thread "observations on 0.35? I am using 0.34 from the OpenSuse repository put together by OpenSUSE_user1. I am not sure what version it really is, and it could very well include pa...

Re: Observations on 0.34

In Morrowind, corpses eventually disappear... Related to unimplemented fCorpseClearDelay - file a bug please. Done. Light spells are underpowered... Create a bug please. Done. The OpenMW wilderness is empty... Create a bug please. Done, but are you sure? Some people would consider fewer cliffracers...

Observations on 0.34

I've been trying 0.34 and I've found only two new bugs (already reported). However, listed below are a few things I noticed that are different from vanilla Morrowind, but which may not count as bugs. Spawn Rate The OpenMW wilderness is empty compared to Morrowind. In Morrowind, you are constantly at...

Re: AI Pathing

Plus, the pathfinding is even worse outside of combat. Guards can find their way out of town to help you, but they can't make it back without getting stuck on something. They don't even seem to try if they wind up in water.

Re: Some feedback on v0.31

OK, here are my final observations before putting 0.31 away: OpenMW needs a bit of work on combat. NPCs don't use their best weapons, faction members don't help each other, enemies don't cast magic, etc. The game loses something when you can fight a Greater Bonewalker and not have to worry about you...

Re: Some feedback on v0.31

I have a few more observations: Merchant Gold - Paying for Enchanting or Training doesn't add to merchant gold. Stock Morrowind is a bit funky, but if you sell something to a merchant first, then train or enchant, their gold will be increased by what you paid, and you can get it back. In OpenMW, you...

Re: Some feedback on v0.31

Sideways Scroll - create a bug report, please. OK, will do. But, pardon my ignorance, how? I found the Issues dB on https://bugs.openmw.org/projects/openmw/issues, and the Bug Reporting Guidelines, but I can't find a "submit a bug" button. The FAQ doesn't explain how to do this either. Active Spell...

Some feedback on v0.31

I've just tried OpenMorrowind 0.31 and it is fantastic. Thank you all for your great work. Thanks also to OpenmwUser for putting together the openSUSE package. I installed the binary from the openSUSE repository, then ran it on the first try with no fiddling required. I did notice a few things, thou...
