Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Right, quick check: I started a new game in vanilla MW, cheated sneak & marksman to 100, and slaughtered some mud-crabs. With melee weapons (dagger), the game echoed "critical hit", and the crab died with one hit. Then I equipped my bow and tried the same. Without sneak, the crabs survived my first ...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Ah, so that rules out a bug on my side, thanks for clarification. I wasn't quite sure if ranged critical hits were possible in MW (it's been too long...), I just googled and found this on UESP (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Stealth): "The critical damage that applies to a hit done while undetec...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Seems like critical strikes don't work anymore. No matter what I do, my character only does normal damage. I'm playing sort of a sniper thief, so that's a major drawback in combat for me. And I can't revert back to official 0.31 because the save games are not backwards compatible. :( Any ideas? Than...

Re: Matt Grandstaff and Android Development

Well, that last bit is pretty easy, since U9 Redemption will be the poster child. :D
Anyway, this sounds like good news, congratulations!

Re: Water tweaks?

Thanks for your answers. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work. The big lakes look alright as long as I don't look down at the water directly in front of my feet. But it doesn't work at all when it comes to rivers. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate the issue, taken right to the south of Ba...

Water tweaks?

Hey folks, I was just wondering if there's a possibility to do something about how water is displayed? I do like the OpenMW looks better than the "quicksilver" water of vanilla Morrowind, but IMO it's too transparent. Right now, it's as if I were looking into a bathtub, I think that e.g. rivers shou...

Re: Android build openmw

That's not madness, it's appreciation. ;) Of course you're doing this for yourself, and letting people participate in your work is basically just a very nice thing to do. Should anyone go so far and actually demand something of you, you can just go ahead and tell 'em to do it themselves. Just don't ...

Re: Android build openmw

Maybe this is some Samsung BS? They are doing things differently when it comes to mounting... like their /extSdCard thing instead of /sdcard1. I really don't want to flash a CM rom only to get the same negative result, but maybe I'll try nonetheless.

Re: Android build openmw

Ah. Even my Note 2 (Mali 400 MP4 gpu) runs the Ogre3D Samplebrowser @60 fps. So if that's where the problem lies, I guess there's still hope... :)

Re: Android build openmw

Never mind that, it's fascinating enough you've managed to pull this off at all. I'm sure there's room for optimization, and phones/tablets are growing more powerful almost by the month. I don't know which phone(s) you own, but I imagine things will look quite good on the upcoming Note 4, for exampl...
