Re: Release process changes

I vote for option two, but please do not restrict access too much. It should also be stated somewhere that such section exists and that people could ask for access. The problem is that only a core few can have access by definition, or we wind up with the same problem because someone sends the video...

Re: Release process changes

One thing that might help with the release video hijacking is if we scheduled a final date for the version to be out: say that .41 comes out on January 7th, and if it's done earlier the appropriate builds can be made available but the video doesn't make people think "oh, hey, .41's out" and get conf...

Re: support 10-bits per channel

Also, no offense, but if you want to push people to move to a new technology, using a technology that is associated with not becoming the consumer standard is probably not the greatest idea. Regarding this; it would be an OSG thing anyway (I believe), and it would be mostly a moot point: 10-bit data...

Re: add a preparation time

I think it is unintentional, since they fixed it (or at least made it harder to do) in later games.[/quore] I'm not sure that's an ironclad argument. There was a several year gap between Morrowind and Oblivion, and a serious shift from the feeling of unbridled exploration to providing a more "polis...

Re: add a preparation time

I dunno, they way you're able to recursively create and stack buffs on yourself does sound like an engine issue. I don't actually think so. It's an error in a single little component in the game, and it's something that may not even be entirely unintentional. Now, there would be ways to get around ...

Re: OpenMW 0.40.0

I don't believe we imitate any other program. I tried imitating blender's scene controls, but that didn't work out with the Shift+WASD movement keys that I was unwilling to give up. I stuck mostly with what was already the chosen defaults. I generally agree with this, if for no other reason than th...

Re: openMW-CS + Oblivion map

hello together, I read a lot about nehrim and oblivion and to port openMw to newe ElderScroll releases. By reading it a question come up to me, why to port the original Game program and doing all the great work which were done here to nothing. Why not thinking in a different way and enabe the openM...

Re: 0.39 YAQP

I'm surprised save games aren't just essentially mods that can be stacked and edited with the construction set? As someone who's messed around with data serialization, that's not necessarily as simple as it sounds. One of the downsides of allowing save files to be edited is that there is a lot of i...

Re: Overhead Dialogue Text

My rule of thumb is that if you hear them, it doesn't make a difference if you know their name/can read their text.

Then again, I am not the most observant (my hearing is actually really good, but I tend to play music while I play).

Re: My Sadrith Mora inpsection

One thing I think would be interesting is to get some hardware specs from everyone who's been having physics issues, and see if there's a problem with certain hardware and not happily loving the physics engine (OpenMW's is CPU-based, right? That should be pretty equally performing across manufacture...
