Re: OGRE 1.8

Nope. We don't need to change anything there, since we use our own source for terrain material.

IIRC there were no major changes to terrain API, so if we're lucky we won't have to change anything at all.

Re: OGRE 1.8

I'd say upgrade now. Officially it's an RC state, but the reality is that they are just fixing up the samples and everything else is pretty much stable. Also, given the huge addition that the terrain is, I think no one wants to wait longer.

Re: github commits in IRC channel

you can also set it up to track changes to any branch. (although it will still be limited to the main repo)

But i think that nontheless its very useful.

I don't know about the github IRC service hook, I havn't used it.

github commits in IRC channel

I think it would be nice to have the commits in the main repo (zinnschlag/openmw) announced in IRC channel. There is a service for this that you can basically set up with 1 click in github: http://cia.vc/ Can we convince our dear admins to do such a thing? :) On your GitHub account - Click Admin on ...

Re: Notes for GUI developers

5. in the layout files, do not use type prefix for properties. example: instead of

<Property key="Widget_Caption" value="Race"/>

use

<Property key="Caption" value="Race"/>

Notes for GUI developers

I'm almost finished with the transition to 3.2, so here are a few notes to GUI developers. 1. Changed widgets names: - StaticImage -> ImageBox - StaticText -> TextBox - Edit -> EditBox 2. No pointer defines (instead of StaticImagePtr, use ImageBox*) 3. Use multi-delegates (instead of "= newDelegate"...

Re: Water Rendering

It's possible that we don't need to store/save the water level, at least that needs to be investigated. Can't we merge water without the scripts? According to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes3Mod:WaterLevel , they were introduced in Tribunal so they are not relevant at the moment at all. Anyways, I stil...

Re: Water Rendering

Zini, about the cmake stuff. The configure_file calls for the water resources seems to be already there in files/CMakeLists.txt and I didn't have to copy anything to the build directory manually for it to work. Do you want these calls in the main CMakeLists instead, or is there something else that n...
