Re: Flash Interface

flash is dead. Besides, it's dead for a reason because its a pain to use. And no one wants to throw away the gui we already have.

Totally out of question anyway:
Also, it's ActiveX, so Windows only.

Re: OGRE 1.8

No.

DX11 has removed fixed function, therefore OpenMW in it's current state wouldn't work with it.

Nope. We don't need to change anything there, since we use our own source for terrain material.

IIRC there were no major changes to terrain API, so if we're lucky we won't have to change anything at all.

Re: OGRE 1.8

I'd say upgrade now. Officially it's an RC state, but the reality is that they are just fixing up the samples and everything else is pretty much stable. Also, given the huge addition that the terrain is, I think no one wants to wait longer.

Re: github commits in IRC channel

you can also set it up to track changes to any branch. (although it will still be limited to the main repo)

But i think that nontheless its very useful.

I don't know about the github IRC service hook, I havn't used it.

github commits in IRC channel

I think it would be nice to have the commits in the main repo (zinnschlag/openmw) announced in IRC channel. There is a service for this that you can basically set up with 1 click in github: http://cia.vc/ Can we convince our dear admins to do such a thing? :) On your GitHub account - Click Admin on ...
