I've never taken the time to look into what MGE specifically does, [...] I'm not versed in all the jargon about this but IIRC, MGE is a shader injector. It runs it's own version of directX on top of Morrowind's version of DirectX in order to display things like shaders, distant land, per-pixel ligh...

On the topic of water, being able to affect water with destruction magic would be pretty cool. Casting a fire spell could heat the water and cause fire damage to npcs/creatures in it, frost spells could freeze/cool down the water, spark spells could electrocute it, and poison spells could poison the...
