Re: OpenMW 0.17.0

Zini... not sure if we both made the same mistake or we are supposed to do something else but 'shiny' is not included in the source to openmw. https://github.com/zinnschlag/openmw/tarball/openmw-0.17.0 ^-- gives the 0.17.0 release, but minus the shiny submodule. I've included a patch to include shin...

Re: OpenMW 0.17.0

buildbot is slow... takes 14~17 hours (estimate). (The queue must be enormous.) I first want to validate that the process works on precise (32/64), then I will push downward to other ubuntu releases. Special care for Maverick and Lucid because of their non-existent multi-lib support. I'm setting up ...

Re: OpenMW 0.17.0

You should bug k1ll for his tarballs, but I haven't seen him around. I can make them but that would have to be for Monday.

I'm trying to get launchpad's build bot to accept the new release.

No, because of the limitations of greyscale. 0->256.. :|
Yeah, that is the limitation of png/bmp.

However if you can convert h5 data over, my datapoints are from 0.0f to 1.0f which would give you a smoother graph.

Re: Landmass

Here is my go at it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/396161/example.png What this tells me is that the 'noise' is too jagged and you have to turn the 'height' down to smooth/flatten the image which is not what is necessary. Nice find! This is really interesting because now I finally have a tool to visualize...

Re: OpenMW 0.17.0

We've not created any 'official' Ubuntu packages yet for 0.17 yet... are we ready for release then? If so... I'll have the build bot do it's magic. As an aside, I think our RC period was too hasty. I had just created the RC1 builds when it was decided to release... woops? Also, I have no idea where ...

Re: EDITOR: Heightmap Importer

True, though using that mindset all the features would be plugins :D I think a heightmap importer is basic enough to have in the basic program. Thoughts? I like the idea of making these things plugins, not everyone will want EVERYTHING... so keeping the main things simple and sweet (KISS) is good. ...
