I was not explicit about it, but I did say the binary blob for both nvidia and amd. Intel should be self explained 'open source' driver. Sorry for the confusion, fixed it with version numbers.

Graphic stack compatibility

This thread is to get a feel for OpenMW's current rendering compatiblity across different platforms; OS, renderers and drivers. Once we have enough information we can generalize and post it in the wiki. I've been able to test on Linux using Intel, AMD and Nvidia based GPUs. My results: master branch...

Ubuntu comes with nvidia-cg-toolkit which needs to be installed first. In the deb itself, there is a control file, in which there should be a dependency on that. If it is not in there, then it is a problem and should be fixed. Note that I said nothing about OGRE, and this is because the release PPA ...

It would be nice to eventually do a sort of 'auto tune' where a few benchmarks are run on particular things and it scales and sets graphical options to a good balance of fps and eye-candy.

I know i'm already hitting 20fps~ exterior on both my nvidia 8400 and radeon hd 3640.
