Re: Graphics settings

It would be nice to eventually do a sort of 'auto tune' where a few benchmarks are run on particular things and it scales and sets graphical options to a good balance of fps and eye-candy.

I know i'm already hitting 20fps~ exterior on both my nvidia 8400 and radeon hd 3640.

Re: Lapsed developers

I think OpenMW has hit a tipping point as we have enough interest and enough people involved that there will always be people (more than one) working on it. This is good. Re: OGRE 1.8

If you're at it, I could use some testing for this branch (it uses 1.8 as well): https://github.com/scrawl/openmw/tree/occlusionquery Just walk around and try to pick up objects and go through doors - if an object or a door doesn't work please tell me. Trying it out now and found this during compil...

Re: Display std::cout in console window

Might I recommend a framework for logging?
Log4cxx is pretty damn good and we use it here for our product at work. Based around log4j but for c++ so it works wonders. It has various logging levels and is configurable.

Re: OGRE 1.8

I finally got mygui 3.2 and ogre 1.8 up and running and decided to check out 'next' branch of openmw.git , sadly while compiling I get this error message: [ 0%] Building CXX object components/CMakeFiles/components.dir/bsa/bsa_archive.cpp.o /home/brick/workspace/OpenMW/openmw/components/bsa/bsa_archi...
