Re: XL Engine source code release!

One the last stepping stones is this: In file included from scriptstdstring.h:14:0, from scriptstdstring.cpp:3: scriptstdstring.cpp: In function ‘void RegisterStdString_Native(asIScriptEngine*)’: angelscript.h:355:77: error: invalid static_cast from type ‘<unresolved overloaded function type>’ to ty...

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

If you think zinimw is bad, try Linux or should I just call it LinusUnix :P (yes, bad joke)

You can fork Linux too btw, in fact, many do.

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

Ok so what if someone has an idea for a function that you don't agree with. I've lurked openmw enough to know that if you (zini) don't like a feature it just won't get merged. If someone wants to make 1000 functions to support their insane mod idea that's their prerogative, making them add it to op...

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

TES3MP also has a planned automatic mod synchronization and download feature. How could such a feature be implemented safely with an unsafe scripting engine? I know this might not be appropriate to discuss here, but it could be something worth thinking about for people on the laxer scripting rules ...

Re: XL Engine source code release!

The only time upstream code will become GPL is when GPL code is then introduced into the repo. Then I guess you could always circumvent GPL by only ever storing diffs. So not quite convinced yet, but I'm leaving this issue for until I hear more opinions, let's keep it the way it is for now :) Not p...

Re: XL Engine source code release!

The issue of licensing came up on GitHub so I'd like to also ask here: If GPL components were used in the further development, would it require our code to be GPL too, or could it stay MIT? I personally think it has to be GPLed, psi29a says that if we limit ourselves to dynamic linking, it can stay...

Re: XL Engine source code release!

More fun with virtuals... anyone have a nice solution here? https://github.com/Mindwerks/XLEngine/blob/master/world/OrientedSprite.cpp#L17 https://github.com/Mindwerks/XLEngine/blob/master/world/RenderComponent.h#L14 OrientedSprite.cpp: In destructor ‘virtual OrientedSprite::~OrientedSprite()’: Orie...

Re: XL Engine source code release!

status update: moving through the code file by file, just doing the bare minimum to get it compiled. So far I've discovered the following dependencies: * DevIL (libdevil-dev) Cross-platform image loading and manipulation toolkit * enet (libenet-dev) Thin network communication layer on top of UDP * a...

Re: XL Engine source code release!

I asked klaso if he could do it for us or let me 'borrow' his credentials to do it ourselves. :)

Re: XL Engine source code release!

I already tried to do this (like I already did for other sourceforge repos in the past like mygui), but this wasn't possible. The svn required access: bcurtis@Wintermute:~/Downloads/xlengine/XLEngineV1/trunk$ svn log Authentication realm: <https://subversion.assembla.com:443> Assembla Restricted Are...
