It would simply require an additional optional field in NIF files for the mass of the object, and an additional info when you add an object which indicates if collisions are on (no idea how to do that last one though). Isn't this already the case in NIFs for Oblivion? Supporting Oblivion style NIFs...

Lightwave and I are on good terms with each other, he opened up a bit of this TESAnnwyn to us where I've been slowly working on getting it FOSSified and usable as a library.

You need to download the source, use that particular feature branch that is being worked on, compile it from scratch. You can cheat if you use windows and use one of the build artifacts from appveyor.

It's not yet merged into master and thus also _not_ in nightlies.
