Re: OpenMW 0.43.0

Chocolatey finally approved the 0.43.0 package;

Not that I'm complaining too much, they're seriously overworked and understaffed for being the Windows package repo.

Re: eGPU stuff

I mean, if you want to be able to run the open-source drivers, and use wayland and all that cool modern stuff, then going AMD is probably the correct choice anyway. Depending on the PCI-e generation, the loss won't be that bad. With gen 3 you're looking at around 3-10% reduction, while gen 1 can los...

Re: eGPU stuff

It's worth mentioning that AMD fares worse than Nvidia when you reduce the PCI-e lanes below 8x, as their hardware/driver seems to expect a higher constant bandwidth to be available. I run a RX580 myself for Linux and the open-source driver support today is truly amazing, have yet to have a single p...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

The checksums are admittedly mostly useful for me, but it's still very useful to be able to know which commit a build is from - as multiple commits happen every day. Otherwise people might just see a date and assume that the build will include every single commit of that day. And besides, they make ...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Yeah, had that same realization myself, and was annoyed by the fact that the image didn't quite fit the full revision either.

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Well, I'm back home from that trip through Europe, held my talk and all the demos went off without a hitch.

And now I'm back and newly built nightlies are starting to roll off of the production line again.
Though apparently the automated task isn't as automated as I'd like it to be.

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

It would seem that my desktop has decided to drop off of the network as well, so until I get home the chance for new nightlies is basically zero. (Got LUKS / full disk encryption on there, so I need to be on location to enter the decryption password when rebooting) I'll make sure to get the nightlie...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Right, seems like my thought on how to do automated service login didn't do what it should've, so nightlies might be unavailable until the 11th-12th when I'm back home after FOSDEM / CfgMgmtCamp I'll try and see if I can hack in a RDP to it to fix the builds up from the hotel, but can't promise anyt...

Re: Ability to rebind key for switching menus

Maybe it's dependency related in that case, perhaps a MyGUI version difference between the Linux and Windows nightlies?

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Are you sure that’s working? Page 1 of this thread still shows the old version from the beginning of January, and it’s been well over 30 minutes since I last posted. I think your browser has cached an old image in that case, because it's all updated on both my side and on the server; https://i.imgu...
