Re: OpenMW port to ps4

I'm not sure if you can use DirectX in a project without including the DirectX headers though, which would break the GPL. To be able to honour the licenses your code would basically need to dynload and manually grab all the required methods, much like you do with OpenGL. SDL does this to support mos...

Re: OpenMW port to ps4

I feel obliged to ask about what the licensing situation is for the PS4 SDK?
Can you compile a binary for the console without being forced to directly link some proprietary Sony code/lib into OpenMW?

Re: The Future of OpenMW Scripting

Lua's not a perfect tool, but the core of it is unmistakeably designed to be an embedded script system, something that's immediately noticeable in the control your application gets over the scripts. Running .Net or Python as scripting is really nice, but it's just as easily noticeable that they're n...

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

New line of RCs, these ones built without LTO to see if that helps NullCascade's issue.

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

NullCascade, could you maybe try building up some release binaries using the CI script, with the LTO build flag enabled in the CMake options, see if that still results in the same issue? If those too show the issue then it might be worth looking over doing some gentler optimization - though it'll lo...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

Seems like my Windows died while I was off at a conference in Berlin, started it up again though now that I'm back and the nightlies seem to be rolling along as usual.

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

My builds are done with the CI scripts - since I wrote then I figure why not use them.
The only difference is that I also apply Link-Time Optimization to add some additional free (apart from compile time) speedup.
(Just run CMake with -DOPENMW_LTO_BUILD=ON to enable LTO)

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

I'll be home late tomorrow and able to build up some RCs by then, going to make sure to set up a RDP connection as well as I'll be in Berlin next week.

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

There's an authentication issue on the upload server, so uploads seem to randomly fail.

People are looking into it.
