If they're .cab files, cabextract should work.

Definitely. One of the things I miss from my old Windows install of Morrowind was an FPS optimizer addon that would dynamically adjust view distance depending on framerate. Any time I pass through Old Ebonheart I find myself wishing OpenMW had that.

That doesn't sound right at all. To be clear, you've successfully installed the data files and started a game, and you're, what, stuck on the ship unable to move? The inventory/stats screen is normally disabled at the start of chargen, but you should be able to move. Have you checked your control se...

Nightlies have been broken for me since like June, because they link to a newer version of libBulletDynamics than is present in my distro, and the nightly doesn't ship with a copy in its libs folder.
