All the script does is setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the included lib directory and then execute the real executable openmw.x86_64. So to run the generic openmw binary with gdb you just need to export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="./lib" gdb ./openmw.x86_64 The binaries and libraries do not contain debug ...
